Research Interests: Evidence based medicine and practice, network meta-analysis, randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, umbrella reviews, meta-epidemiologic studies, cross-sectional studies, diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of atherosclerosis, ectopic adiposopathy, biomarkers, inflammatory markers, metabolic syndrome, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular prevention, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmia, diabetes, aging, stroke, , clinical epidemiology, clinical research, biostatistics and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

Biography: Dr. Leonardo Roever was graduated in UNIT (2002), had his specialization in UNIFESP (2003) and UFU (2020), Masters degree (2008), PhD (2019) and Post-Doctorate (2021) in Health Sciences from the UFU. Currently Postdoctoral (2021-current) at the Medical School of USP in São Paulo. International Editorial Board - European Heart Journal, Editorial Board (International Journal of Cardiology, BMC Medical Research Methodology, BMC Emergency Medicine and Lipids in Health and Disease), Associted Editor [BMC Cardiovascular Disorders (Epidemiology) and Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine], Academic Editor [Medicine (USA - Baltimore, Maryland)/ BioMed Research International (Critical Care)] and others. The total of publications comprises more than 260 articles in journals specialized as an author and/or co-authored, including high-impact journals such as The Lancet, Nature, Nature Medicine, The Lancet Neurology, The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, The Lancet Global Health, European Heart Journal, JACC, Circulation and British Medical Journal (BMJ), 21 abstracts in conference proceedings,1 international E-book and 2 national book, and 2 chapters international and 34 national. 
Member of the Global Burden of Disease collaborator network (GBD), GRADE Working Group, Integrated Meta-analysis of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology-Group (IMCSC-Group), International Health Informatics Study Network (IHISN) and the CEO of Brazilian Network of Research in Meta-analysis (BRAMETIS). He has acted or works as a member of the editorial board of 15 and reviewer of 243 scientific journals.
