Khalid Bin Waleed

Research Interests: Atrial Fibrillation, Catheter Ablation, Heart Failure, SGLT2-Inhibitors, Biomarkers, Cardio-oncology, Acute Coronary Syndromes

Khalid Bin Waleed is an Afghan citizen and currently pursuing European Heart Rhythm Association awarded fellowship at St. George’s University Hospital, London, United Kingdom. He started medical career in 2006 and obtained MBBS degree (2011) from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He successfully completed Master of Medicine in Cardiology (2015) and Ph.D. in Cardiology (2018) at the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University under Prof. Xia Yunlong. His scientific research attitude and development are related cardiovascular medicine particularly atrial fibrillation, thromboembolism, and catheter ablation. He published more than 4 SCI papers as first author and more than 6 SCI papers as coauthor. He already has a solid professional knowledge, and participated in a number of prestigious international scientific conferences (ESC 2018-2020, CCC 2019&2020, APHRS 2017&2018, GW-ICC 2017, CAFS 2015-2019) for his scientific work as an oral presenter or general poster presenter.
